Have A Contingency Plan For Your Social Media Program?
Twitter Problems do not make Twitter iany less a great avenue for traffic generation, customer service, networking, friendship and sales. Though it does take a lot of time, it can certainly be worth it.
Twitter seems to have an endless stream of tweets involving the terms twitter problems, twitter problem, hacked, Twitter glitch and several others. Without complete control of the system, you are truly at the mercy of Twitter. Or are you?
Imagine how much time you or your company has spent optimizing these social media sites. They talk to each other, you’ve built up followers, you’ve got fans on Facebook. And what value is that to your company?
Contingency Planning is one of the things that separate the men from the boys. Dave Ramsey instructs his students to have a $1,000 emergency fund – which is really a contingency plan should you run into financial problems. Johnson & Johnson has an entire wing dedicated to handling special problems.
So you need a plan. You need to know the answers to the problems before the problems occur. Spammers, hackers, deleted accounts, screwed up profile photos, the inability to log-in and tweet AND will they then have access to your associated e-mail account?
So figure out what two things do you need to do to stop a hacker? What do you need to do to tweet when you are locked out? What do you need to do when your profile photo is missing or when your account gets deleted all together. If you have a plan now, you’ll be able to resolve your problems instantly – before they actually become a liability.
